Last new car I bought I was sent an AA breakdown card for the year.. with this new car I’ve had two weeks I’ve not got one.. anybody received a card ??

I believe they don't send one anymore I think when you ring up the number you just give the vehicle details but not to sure I already had breakdown cover that was already paid for so just changed that one.

Having called VW assistance out on day one, I can confirm that you need only give your vehicle details.

Perhaps because I wanted a VCDS reset, but I was offered AA (1-2 hours) or VW specialist (3-4 hours) - home-start. I opted for the latter, but don't know if this is a standard option or is fault and vehicle age dependant.
