True. However, a top spec UP in the UK can cost up to £15,000 I believe (I may be wrong), but that is way too much for an UP in my opinion! Especially when a very good second hand one can be bought for £7000 or less.
The Take up new works out to around 10 700 GBP.
I agree, I stopped buying new cars around 10 years ago :)

Interesting. Cars here in UK are relatively much cheaper than they were 10 to 20 years ago. I tended to buy new and used until fairly recently, I just buy new now, but always search for the best deal. The car choice is generally secondary to the price. In 1991 I bought a fairly bog standard Honda Civic for £10200, list was £12000. My Vauxhall Agila cost me £6000 brand new 2 years ago, and the UP! Beats cost £8495. Both of these cars are way better than the Civic I paid over £10K for some 26 years ago.

Some brands are cheaper obviously, I find VW's prices to be a tad on the crazy side! I managed to buy my Skoda Yeti for almost half the price it was new, 3 years ago. It is a top spec model, so it ended up being decent value for money.

I fitted the Thule Wingbar and it looks sweet! Waiting for some t-brackets to fit the Pro-Ride 591. Loving this little car. Currently I'm getting 18.8 km/l with about 80% city driving.

That's a sweet looking car and great photos - we can't buy this model in the UK unfortunately. Having the roofbars on the car is very useful and I would be keen on this option if available on UK cars.

As for buying a car (in the UK), finance for a new car is cheap at the moment. If you only consider the monthly payment, someone buying a car on PCP finance can have a new car at a much lower monthly cost compared to traditional HP finance.

Also, often a new car PCP deal can have a lower monthly payment compared to a year old car financed via HP. PCP can be more expensive in the long term though. I read recently that the government may tighten the rules on car finance in the near future because they fear that too many folks are committing to deals they can't afford.
White High Up! ordered 5th March 2016. Arrived...happy!
