Volkswagen up! – can the awkwardly-named city car survive family life on our long-term test?

The Volkswagen Up is arguably the pick of the small urban cars. After running a string of large MPVs and SUVs, Kyle Fortune aims to discover whether small is beautiful when it comes to family cars

Our car: Volkswagen High Up 1.0 TSI 90PS five-speed manual List price when new: £11,800 Price as tested: £15,285 Official fuel economy: 60.1mpg (EU Combined)

That is a great article. I thoroughly enjoyed reading that and found myself agreeing with virtually every word. Long live the little up!

Considering it's the Telegraph a really good article.

Less is definitely more when it comes to the UP, you just get in, drive and enjoy
I did a 200 mile round trip on mid and North Wales B roads the other day, loving the TSI
It's so flexible and quick enough. A remap may be on the shopping list though.
