Mix of queuing traffic, dual carriage and I get 57mpg in the rush hours. Car has 800 miles on it, each leg is 25 miles to work and back.

I've had a 75bhp BMT High Up, and now a TSI High Up, to be honest mpg very similar, even when driven "enthusiastically" my TSI still returns great mpg.....

I run approx 15% better fuel economy in my new TSI than my old 60hp Mii. It is a mutch smoother engine!

My son's using the UP as he changed jobs and his car would cost an arm and a leg to do 100 mile commutes in.
I've been averaging 48mpg.

This is his today 73.4mpg
Some B Road then dual carriageway, then M53, then some urban stop start.
Quite impressive, I'll have to take some driving lessons off him

i'd echo everything said above. The wife and I had 75bhp High Up's, now we both have Tsi High Up's, and if anything, particularly on runs over 20 miles, the mpg is better.
The driving experience over the non Tsi cars really is night and day.
Highly recommended.

I had two 75ps ups previously over 4 years and averaged 38mpg. I dont care about fuel economy it's my park anywhere commuting car and is still twice the mpg of my weekend car. I drive flat out everywhere within reason. I got a TSI in January and I have noticed no difference in fuel economy apart from travelling at 100mph over long distances on motorways it gives better mpg due to the lower rpm. I think for cautious drivers the TSI will have better mpg. Map it to 125bhp and you will get even better but will take a lot of miles to get your 400 quid map money back
