That's the mileage (21,300 miles) I have done so far on the original tyres and I think that's pretty good. Will change them around (front to back) at 25,000 so a few thousand miles left before I have to buy new ones.

How long should tyres last? The ones on our work van lasted 70000 on the rear and still originals on front, some say commercial have better compounds and build quality or sumert!

I had to change tyres because they were to old ...
Less 2000 miles per year ...

You should change tyres after 7 years no matter how many miles they did ...

I think it is not fair to quote miles because the roads can be very different. The way you accelerate your car also has great influence. Driving fuel saving also means driving tyre saving ...

I agree Cadfael you have to compare like with like.
My daily commute is mainly on dual carriageways and I'm comparing it with my previous car which needed the front tyres changing at 14,000 miles.
