Storm is coming.....it's already rattling about here!

The Up! Will be locked in the garage, and assuming anyone is still alive tomorrow, it's been good to know you.

I lived in Kent during the last one in 1987. I never did find my garage door which disappeared overnight!

Don't park under trees tonight or near any wooden fences if possible.

I take this seriously after the last time. Good luck to you and your Up!

I live in an alley with 60 feet (20 meters) trees.
"Main windows" to this alley and my car parks there.

Already really heavy winds all day long here in Dortmund Germany with some rain.
Advantage: The leaves come down faster and not four weeks of shovelling leaves from the car ...

Everything else is in God's hands ...

A tree blew down in Blatchington Road, Hove this afternoon and the Storm of the Century doesn't even start till after midnight! Car is safely tucked away in its garage.

I remember back in 1987 driving to work along the Avenue into Southampton, and meeting a garden shed tumbling towards me.I can only guess that it was new and empty allowing the wind to pick it up.

I worked in a 7 storey building and contractors had left some sheets of 6' x 8' marine ply on the roof. These off course flew off and landed in the car park.Missed my "mini" by feet....but made a right mess of the BMW parked next to me!

To all of us in the Storms path tonight....

Go well.

I too remember the 1987 storms when I lived at Weston Super Mare on the coast
I had a shed in the garden after the storm.
I didn't have one in the garden before the storm.
