My Daughter has a basic 2013 UP with manual lights
I notice there are loads of conversion kits for golf 4 and golf 5,6 etc. These consist of a replacement switch barrel and a light sensor.
Some have some sort of adaptor box as well.
Is anyone aware of a conversion for the UP and where it is available please.

There's loads on eBay, but from personal experience they're a little hit and miss. The first one I bought wasn't great but I just bought this one which is almost perfect. Its plug and play, turns on when I want and gives leaving/coming home lights 😃.

Just noticed the age of your car. Apologies if the one I linked to isn't compatible. They changed to a smaller connector at some stage 🥴

Many thanks for your reply Tom, very helpful. I noticed loads on Ebay but they all say for golf and not compatible with the UP, which was my problem.
Anyway with your suggestion I'll remove the existing one and get a look at the plug. If the basic switch fits and sensor works then it should be just the plug.
At these prices its worth a punt if it looks right. many thanks for your help.
