Nice work, have you drilled holes in the bootlid to do that?
Yes i did

And also did paint on the drilled sides from the holes

So no rust can come up

Ever seen how a polo 6r and a lot of cars from vw have their parcel shelf mounted:)? Its exactly the same. My dealer seen it and they said it has been done professionally. The sides from the metal holes have been painted and all prepped for rust.
They said nobody could ever complain about garanty.

(sry for my crappy english)

Not sure if this has been discussed here before, but it has been on the Skoda CityGo forum (Briskoda). It concerns the lack of a cord to raise/hold the parcel shelf when opening boot. Just had a look at mine, and the shelf locks into a raised position, although this has to be done manually. I don't know if all Ups have this, or if it is a modification to the later ones. Anyway, thought I would post.

Locking in the up position is common to all, errr, up's

The subject has been covered a few times. Most recently and professionally here

The cheaper alternative is a couple of sunglass strings and a couple of plastic hooks from B & Q. Develop from there as you see fit.

You can make this mod using parts of differennt marks.
I did it using set from FIAT CINQUECENTO/SEINCENTO. Looks similar, but good thing is that FIAT parts are much cheaper :D

Ibought it for only 7Euro.
