Adding 16” Black gloss triangle alloys to mine, but also want to lower it by half inch or a touch more. What are the best springs for this purpose please, bearing in mind this is our second car and it does go on tracks to fishing lakes and occasionally has my wife and two kids in it? Would like a less boaty ride, better handling but not harsh and bumpy or too low. Cheers all 👍🏻

hi, welcome to the forum,

40mm lowering springs brings down the ride height a reasonable amount, coilovers are also an option to reduce ride height, theyre adjustable too usually so you can work out a ride height which works best for you

i have had 15's 16's and 17s and car doesnt scrape on gravel track roads, even fully laden. just have normal tyre sizes and not the modern trend of elastic band type tyres and you'll be good!

Cool, thanks. However, after adding the new wheels I’m going to leave as stock. It needs to be a practical second car for us 👍
