Fabulous Techy article that Dan. Really enjoyed reading it.. Thanks
Great to find dual overhead camshafts in such a small engine... AND to find that the input shaft is variable timed. This really is the reason why the little engine drives so well at all revs. Being variable means that it can follow the drivers performance ambitions, as measured at the accelerator pedal, and match power and performance across the rev range.. always setting itself for max power at a given rev reading with max efficiency too, and not throwing away precious petrol in the process.
That is a fabulous little engine and I just love everything about the up! design.
