I know there has been some threads earlier on with talks about bulbs and what can fit or not. As I'm not either totally satisfied with the lights during the night (as talked in the other topic over at general section) I would like to spice them up a bit.

You guys who have changed bulbs, how easy is this to do yourself in an Up and will any opinions on these bulbs?http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-12342-BVUSM-Vision-Headlight-Bulbs/dp/B00440CWDK/ref=sr_1_3?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1350294320&sr=1-3

Those are the bulbs I got for mine! Huge difference I have to say. And it's super easy to change the bulbs yourself, access is easy, and if you got any questions, on the cars manual, there is a page almost to the end that shows you exactly how to change them, and even got pics to show you!,

Everyone I know recommends Osram Nightbreakers. I think they're roughly the same price if you look around too, great bulbs. I'll be ordering mine ready for collection soon :)

They are fairly easy to change. If you are used to the tricks of changing headlight bulbs, they are quite easily accessible.

while in there, worth changing the indicator bulbs for silvervision ones....a cheap mod that looks way better than stock.

I changed mine last night in about 15 mins and will get some pics up at the weekend so you can see what they look like.

I change the DRL's to some MTEC 380W Super White T20's and they look fab, really easy to change those. Pull of connector and twist the holder a quarter turn and then pull off. Bulb just pulls out of holder and push new one in. Nice crisp white light with a slight tinge of blue.

Fitted MTEC Super White H4 bulbs, again the connectors were the difficult bit being quite stiff to pull off. Then remove the rubber boot, release the metal spring clip and pull out. Will see how they perform on a dark country road later on, but again a nice white light with a very slight bluish tinge.

Have Phillips Blue Vision Max on the Leon and they are really good. Other good ones are Ring Xenon Max and if you don't mind a slightly more orange tinge Osram Night breakers.

Super simple to change.

See my thread for my opinion:
