Keep us posted... leaks like that are often down to deformed seals... We saw that on the eos forum quite a lot...

Noooo!! That's mega crap!! Hope they get it sorted pronto! There seems to be a thing with leaky vw's just now, my mother in laws golf bluemotion has just had a pun hole leak fixed in her windscreen washer pump, it leaked everywhere and they even had to get the whole car recarpeted.

Hope you get it fixed soon and get back in your Uppy! Have you been lent another car in the meantime ?!?

I had a leak onmy other larger german car. Only luck stopped it flooding the inside of the car.

Pooh happens.

I think the rear hatch glass is glued to the metal frame of the rear hatch. Some sort of sealer will get the little leaking swine.

The expensive fix may be a new rear hatch. This will be dealer/VW's to find.

Maybe all this recent rain hasn't been a bad thing, as its thrown things like this up sooner rather than later

Hope you get it sorted quickly

Cheers guys and girls. My dealer phoned today.....
You'll never guess?????
The rear glass has to be removed to replace all the glue/sealer?
Oh joy!
So i should have Dug back next week.

They gave me a loan of a 1.2 polo.

Really glad we bought Dug.

I expect it's just going to be like replacing a front windscreen. These are just glued in place with a black tacky sealant nowadays so I can see how easy it may be to swop out the rear glass if the same. The real effort will be cleaning off the old to ensure a better seal this time. I expect they may even call in glass technician to sort this at the dealership for you.

I can imagine they'd have someone like Autoglass do it

Finally got word that Dug is ready to be picked up after all has spashing about in water(water tests at the dealers).
Hopefully they have giving him a good soapy bath afterwards.
Don't know you about you guys but i aways send a car to the garage dirty. This way you can see grubby hand marks.

My car has been in the garage for a week due to a leak in the off side back window (3 doors)
It's still there waiting upon a new window and new roof lining as its stained... They don't know if it'll resolve the problem but hopefully these all get sorted soon! & hope yours gets sorted!
