Can we keep the Gallery about up!/Citigo/Mii cars only please.

I'm happy to see other cars in the gallery if it's of general interest.

I think it adds to the forum having a Golf vs Up debate. The Golf is so much more to buy, tax and insure i'd like to know why that is seen as worthwhile. Perhaps us up owners are missing out on something?

I see no problem having a Golf vs up! debate, but this is the gallery section, for pictures of up!Citigo/Mii.

A debate belongs in the General section.

Probably after Lapis Lazuli - a deep blue rock. Minecraft players will be familiar with it

Lol, minecraft.

Lapis Lazuli was one of the first ways that painters and dyers were able to make the colour blue (ultra aquamarine). In centuries gone by, especially the renaissance, it was one of the most expensive resources for merchants to install as it was only found in mines in Afghanistan and the Central Asian regions.

Sorry, I love history!

I'm inclined to agree with Alan G, when it comes to the Golf.

As nice as it looks I'm puzzled as to why the Golf is so expensively priced, even for the lower range models. According to VW's finance calculator, a 3 door 1.2TSI can be driven on solutions for £209 p/m. However, VW expect that the customer places a deposit of nigh on £5000.

By contrast, for £249 p/m, one can drive around in anAudi A3 Sport 1.2 TFSI 105 PS 6 speed, whilst parting with only £3287.

For an extra £40.00 p/m and an initial saving of £1800, I know which of the two I'd prefer to drive around in, particularly since the A3 is likely to have a higher GFV than the Golf.

The GFV is why the monthly payments are less - you're financing the difference between OTR price and GFV. The A3 has a disproportionately higher GFV so you're financing less.

Same with the Polo and A1.
