My wife has a six-month-old Polo Match which developed a squeaky seat about six weeks ago. Dealership first replaced seat base, then seat back - no squeak, but only for a week. Back in this week, another new base and back, squeak still there. As we speak the workshop are scratching their heads over this and have taken out the driver's seat and carpets to try to find out what the problem is!
Thankfully we have a really good dealer who is keeping us up to date with what's going on, but it's unknown territory for them as they've never come across this problem before.

More worringly, as I alsohave an old BMW 5 Touring, I suspect ifthe seat sagagoes on much longer she'll be looking to borrow my up!

The next time they have the seat base out, ask them to spray the metal spring bits with silicon - solved my squeaky Micra seat.

silicone or ptfe spray is a real problem solver....buy a can from marlin, lasts for years and cures most squeaks for good, esp plastic on plastic
