I have just taken delivery of a Blue Move Up! 5 door to replace the motorbike

I am really pleased with 'Doug' (named after the Dog in the film 'Up' by my daughter)

She joins 'Lulu', The Land Rover 110 V8 Soft top & 'Minx' , the Mini Cooper.

Caused a little confusion at the BMW Mini dealership.

My Good lady decided to get a Mini Cooper last year. Green Bower are owned by a group that has VW dealerships in Anglesey) Anyway we asked Chris in Mini if he could get a better price for us..which he did- a 5d Move for price of a 3 dr take up!

..It was delivered to the BMW Mini dealership and there it was....surrounded by £50k Beamers. A few staff did wonder why a new VW was in the compound

Was on German TV just a few days ago! Here it's called "Oben" ...

Yeah, Doug is a great name!

Got my new up! today ...
Called it "Black Beauty" (having not the horse but the Ludwig snare drum in mind) ...
Some pics are in my thread. A lot of chrome and extras ...

Had some struggles with the M&M (new and never had a navi) but now it works fantastic with the radio.

(I noticed the spelling after my post because I visited the Wikipedia "up" site)

The German voice of Dug was Dirk Bach who died MUCH too early ...

He was a brilliant (gay) German comedian and artist (Shakespeare - Puck).

Here he is with a song of Trude Herr (famous female Cologne actor). The song is called: "Ich will keine Schokolade, ich will lieber einen Mann" (I don't want chocolate, I want a man!). A famous 1960s "German Rock'n'Roll" song everybody in Germany knows ...

Welcome....some years ago, I ran a v8 110 .....any mpg in double figures was a real bonus!
Compared to that, doug will be 'cheaper than walking'.
