Noticed today that if you have the sensor pack, when it drops below 4 degrees and the chime goes, the display changes (quite rightly ) to temp readout but when it warms up, you have to manually cycle through all the trip computer functions to get back to mpg or whatever you had on the display....qirky!

Interesting, how does it behave if you turn off the ignition? So this scenario:

1. Tripcomputer is set to mpg
2. Ice Age comes
3. You start the car
4. Display changes to temp readout
5. The world heats up
6. You stop driving, and turn the ignition off.
7. You start the car again

Does it then default back to mpg, or stay on temp readout?

I thought you were pointing out that you should put your next of kin in your mobile phone under the initial letters ICE which means in case of emergency. That's how I have my next of kin designated in my mobile phone, so that if you are involved in an accident the emergency services now look in your mobile's phone's book and can call the next of kin immediately.
