What are your favourite Up driving tunes? Here are a few of mine...

The Stooges - I wanna be your dog
David Bowie - Suffragette City
Sex Pistols - God save the Queen
Led Zeppelin - Black Dog

You'll notice that they are all pretty old like me

It depends on my mood. Sometimes I just listen to radio 1, but usually something with bass in. I'm currently listening to DJ Fresh at the moment, but I have Rita Ora, Emimnem, Lady Gaga and some Ministry of Sound albums. I'm a bass junkie and love my sub shaking my car!

Oh well, not much life in that one. How about the best driving songs in general?

Born to Run by Springsteen, Radar Love by Golden Earring and Highway star by Deep Purple always do it for me, but watch out for speed cameras.

Driving music is definitely controlled by mood, or maybe vice versa.

If I'm chilled, anything by Fragile State or Thievery Corporation, but if I'm feeling like some sporty driving, then you'd go a long way to beat 'Rearview Mirror' by Pearl Jam.

If I am chilled, a bit of Pink Floyd works for me.

My driving is definatly controlled by my music, if it has a good beat, I drive faster, or a bit of classical makes me more relaxed in my drive.

I was a bit slow there....

What about The Only Way is Up by M People, Running Up the Hill by Kate Bush or Shake it Up by the cars?

That's kind of killed the Up songs thread, there are some ones there and some people with a lot of time on their hands. Mind you we don't want to leave out our Seat and Skoda owners, so....

From Mii to you - the Beatles
Summer in the Citigo - Lovin' Spoonful.

Or a song to cover all the bases,

Don't wake Mii Up - The Citigo Harmonic

Interesting topic! I've always associated a specific artist and album to each car that I've owned. Usually it's what I was listening to in the car the most during my ownership. So when I look back, the memories of the car and the music are connected.

For the UP so far it's Declaration of Independence by Kings of Convenience.

Just for the sake of anyone's curiosity, my previous cars and their associated albums were:

Suzuki Grand Vitara - Port of Morrow by The Shins
Mustang Convertible - Broken Bells by Broken Bells
Toyota Hilux - Sumo by The Superjesus
Ford Falcon - Sundown by Gordon Lightfoot

Mostly anything EBM/Synth/Futurepop. Right now, VNV Nation is heavily featured in my soundsystem ;D

Alfa Romeo 156 - White Stripes, Elephant.
Jaguar X-type - Nirvana, Unplugged
BMW 320D - Neil Young, Rust Never Sleeps
Ford Focus - Pink Floyd, Wish you were here
Up! - early days yet...... Probably Public image Limited, Public Image.
