It looks great without the rear wiper but it will be difficult seeing out of the rear window as it really attracts the dirt.

I love the xenon foglights....

I agree you must be mental to remove rear wiper, twominuets on a wet road and you can't see a thing out the rear window

I think it looks so much better sans wiper. I'd never put mine back on!
Surprisingly, it's really not an issue. If you keep it treated with a RainX type product, the water beads well, then turn on the rear screen heater and it takes care of the rest.
I tend to keep a hydra blade and a bottle of RainX handy just incase, but have never had to use it

I must get some of that. Is it readily available?

Yea, definitely. In fact, the last one I bought, I spotted in ASDA of all places for about £3! That was RainX, there are lots of other very good brands about too though.

Hi Ronhap. Why did you leave the VW badge on the front of the car?

Yes I also think it looks much better without the wiper, love the clean look.

Good tip to have a hydra blade an a bottle with rainX in the car!

I dont think it had looked good without the VW badge on the front, it then just have been a big circle without anything..

Finaly I had the time to polish my up!

Was polished with machine, used Scholl S40 for the polish and a layer of the Swisswax Shield wax at the end.

Here also with the original summer rims.

Also the plate was polished with Scholl S40 and added a layer with the Swisswax Shield wax. :)

Some photos of the sunroof

@ronhap: very nice. I like to see someone who looks after his car.

...and I've got serious garage envy

Most UK houses have no garage, and if they do, it's the size of a shoe box...

Looks very smart.

It just needs black wheel caps and a wrapped extension of the black sunroof
