Hi, everybody just wanted to introduce myself i'm Steve based in Lincolnshire UK. Just ordered my wife a new Move Up, to replace her Hyundai i10. When i ordered the car we did not want to have to wait for it to be built to our specification so we opted for a stock car that had the extras we wanted except:-
The car has the Chrome pack (although the dealer has not charged us for this because it was an extra we did not really want), just wanted to know peoples opinion on the chrome pack, does it look ok. The Up is metallic black.

We really wanted the speaker upgrade but unfortunately the car never had this fitted, is it something that can be easily retro fitted (the VW dealer i am using seems to think not).

Car is Move Up, 5 door matallic black with alloys, sensor pack, winter pack and Maps thingy.

Is there any other things that my wife will not be able to live without that we could possibly address before picking the car up.

Thanks for any advice in advance and we look forward to browsing the forum from time to time

1. See the link in my signature ...
I love the Chrome pack on Black ...
The chrome stripe at the back door is extra and costs about 50 GBP. It is the "protection".

2. Better buy good quality speakers for the front doors ...
Recommendations I have found are:
- Eton pow 172: http://www.amazon.de/Eton-PRX170-Koaxsystem-integrierter-Papiermembrane/dp/B00407W8MC/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1411294181&sr=8-11&keywords=eton&tag=polo03-21
- Focal ISS 165: http://www.focal.com/de/universal/375-iss-165-3544053750118.html

I read that it makes sense to put ALUBUTYL into the doors when changing the speakers ...

This is why I chose to wait for a build...yeah, its annoying but at least you can get the exact spec you want with no regrets down the line or retro fitting options you wanted...

But anyway, I think the chrome pack looks good on the black, I thought about it for my black high up that's on order but in the end felt it would look a bit flashy/trying too hard on a car like the up. but I think you'll like it, and to get it for free can't complain.

Hi upmancotswolds,

for the black up!, there would be nearly no difference between high up! and take up! mirrors (okay; not Black Pearl on a take up, but black). The chrome makes it different. The 4 stripes left and right are not too flashy. A big difference are the fog light caps! These are really stressed by the chrome (when lights are off). This was the main reason for me ...

You can surely buy "much better" things for the price of the Chrome Pack!
And it may look a bit posh. But I don't care - then, I'm a posh professed socialist ...

And as you wrote: Steve get the pack for free ...

With two rear speakers you have the second stereo amp section of the radio ...
I love the additional options on front/rear balance (and use it even though I drive alone).
But building in rear speakers makes a lot of work! So the most practical way is to choose good quality front speakers.
