I have an OBD2 reader I used with a previous car (bluetooth one) anyone use one with the up for code reading/performance monitoring....?....if so, which iOS program/app do you use ??

into the obd2 port (pointing downwards above the accelerator pedal)

tried it today and it didn't work , ie the bluetooth connection would not work....wonder if there is a fancy VAG only protocol and my universal one doesn't work......need to defer to someone who knows more about these things if possible

I've borrowed a cheap chinese obd2 thingy from a colleague and it worked right away. See if you can somehow force it to re-establish connection or repeat pairing procedure. The "secret" code is usually 9876 or 0123 or 1234. I don't recall exactly which low-level protocol it used, but it was something like "default plain CAN".

going to try another reader as I think my 1st one may have been faulty...will let you all know how I get on
