Hi

I need my passenger airbag turning off, but there is no key thingie as in the manual, so I called my dealer who stated that it would need to be done by them with a code.

Called back today and was informed that this is not an option and can't be done!

Has anyone else had this problem?

Many thanks

I know having the key switch is an option you have to spec as part of a pack. I'm not sure about the codes though, I'd be very surprised if you couldn't do it however!
That said, there might be some legal implications of the dealer switching it off for you?

I think any airbag can be disabled permanently by the dealer.I paid theequivalent of500GBP for this in my VW Caravelle T5 bus (my previous car).
This should be much cheaper to do in the UK/EU (as everything else).
I got a sticker on the dash andnew vehicle registration papersstating the airbag is disabled permanently.
The new owner paid the same to get it working again 3 months later...
