I'm thinking of buying a High UP - red with grey/red upholstery. Do members find it too much with a red dash as well? I thought that combo would be cheery but wondered if i would tire of it after a while! Photos appreciated!

Using the VW on-line Configurater, I made a paper print of the three
dash-colour options (red, Black and silver) I had narrowed my choice
to. I felt a black dash was best (red continues the tops of the doors
round from each side but black gives some 'relief'. I was afraid silver
would look too much like a sheet of aluminium. To this day I've not
seen a silver dash 'in the flesh' so I've no idea what it really appears
like.
As for the light coloured upholstery it's not for everyone! We like it very much, but for families with children it might start to get a bit grubby quite quickly, and the texture of the fabric does not lend itself to a quick wipe over!
I would have happily paid the extra if the Leatherette option had been available in an Ivory shade. In fact, if I was ordering a new up! again I'd seriously consider those made-to-measure covers that have photos posted on this Forum, for under £400!

I ordered a red dash, but it arrived with a black one by mistake. I was upset when they told me on the phone, but when I went to look at it I fell in love. The black has a lovely sparkle to it.
As for the seats, I have had no issues yet. The material seems very tough.
I have attached a couple of photos, the seats are after 12 months of use.

I opted for the dark silver dash as I thought it would be the least fingerprint attracting. It looks great, IMO

Nice picture. Think I'm going for the red dash. Seen a Fiat 500 tonight with one and it looked great! Thanks.
