just testing my pic uploading, to make sure i can upload pics of the up when it arrives

Can't find original pics of my first car but it was 1994 clio bebop it bright yellow, bought for a mere £200 loved the car shame my parents thought it was a death trap only had it a few months

My second car 2001 Ford ka, bought as a repaired cat c with 21000 then managed to Crash it myself 8 months later oops poor car had only done 30,000 miles and had had been involved in 2 accidents

The car I said good by too just yesterday, absolutelyloved this car shame it cost me so much to run, and the hard ride has given me a bad back over the past 2 years. now awaiting the delivery of my high up!

only a short car history but i'm only 20 so there should be many more cars to come

Would beinterestingto see what other members have previously driven

I loved my Ford Ka, bought new, scrapped after 10 years. I can't say why but I prefer the Ka for driving even though the Up is in all respects better. It is safer too, which perhaps might appeal to you, can't say why that might be the case, just a wild guess.
I had an occasion to apply the brakes forcibly a few days ago, and the ABS does work very well.

This was my baby, first and only car since I finished uni in 2007 until a few weeks ago, Its a Polo 1.4cl "openair" edition.
She did me well, even though the previous owner had run her into the ground.... I had to buy a new engine for her not long after I brought her....

Passed my test at 18 in 2003, so before the polo, I drove my mums cars which were an old peugeot 106 and another polo openair!
Also drive my dads cars on occasion, MG ZT 2.5l which was like driving a tank, VW EOS 2.0l FSI which was lovely to drive, so smooth and powerful. And currently he has a Golf cabriolet whish is great too!

haha good brakesdefiantlyappeal to me, at least I can say I crashed in style, demolished the front of my car in the back of a brand new BMW
taught me alesson though. I think the repair garage did a decent job as the picI'veadded is post repair, just wish they replaced the whole bumper not just the mid section, butwhatdo you expect for £500. I agree the ka was so fun to drive, even more so than the 1.6 street ka!

This is one of my favourite shapes of the polo, I did think the new shape looked rather snazy until someone on here mentioned it looked like a pug now I can't help but giggle when I see one

I'm still waiting to get rid of my French Blue Winter 2 StreetKa, and hopefully it'll be gone in less than a month. So expensive to run for such a small car.

have you traded in or are you trying to private sell ? I bought mine on finance for 3250 nearly two years ago, then saw one for sale last week same as mine for 1800 can't believe it lost so much money so quick, I had to give the car back to the finance company as i was in so much neg equity.

When I agreed to buy the up! it was under the proviso, however long it took to arrive, the trade-in price for the StreetKa would be guaranteed. And I'm still waiting the hear that my Week 25 (last week) up! has been built. I think a phone-call is in order!

I see you had an Aygo/C1/107 too, how does the Up! compare?

I honestly thought the wee C1 we had was one of the best wee cars about, slow as a week in jail, but uber cheap and reliable and actually quite fun.

My current car. I will probably keep both when I get my up. Odd situation because the cost of the camera and lens cost more than the trade in value of my current car :(

My up is to replace the bike. I'm too old for bikes so a nippy smart auto is just the ticket.

That's why I went with Dark Knight blue?? Mad, but true.

I love the Aygo to be honest. We've still got it but hubby's driving it now & he loves it too. As far as build quality is concerned, there's just no comparison, the Aygo is so tinny and flimsy compared to the up!

BUT, as I posted on here a couple of weeks ago, I borrowed the Aygo to go to work in one day cos hubby said he'd give the up! a good clean and I had one of the most fun drives to work ever. It was the first time I'd driven it since getting the up! and it really was a total blast. I think I said at the time that it was like driving a go kart, all tinny and plasticky but nippy as anything and just an absolute hoot. In comparison, the up! felt quite stately and grown up the following day.

I wouldn't swap back as there are just too many good things about the up! but I'll definitely be pinching the Aygo occasionally, just for the grin factor.

Wash your mouth out ducatikid. Too old for bikes, never heard of such a thing!!!

But, if you have to move from 2 wheels to 4, you can't go wrong with an up!

The truth is I'm too damaged for bike riding. I can afford a 1198 panigale, but I can't sit on one.
