It can be very tricky to remember what all those little holes are for and what springs go where, that's why I always take a photo before I start taking them to bits, and lay everything out the same way it was on the car.
This method has saved alot of head scratching and frustration in the past!
Doesn't help when you fire a miniscule spring across the workshop and into another dimension though.. probably ends up where odd socks and 10mm sockets go..
