Hi guys was after some help ive never changed speakers in a car before and was wondering how hard is it to get the covers off in the front to change the speakers as went to place and said it would cost over £80 for installation as speaker where costing £120 in shop(can get cheaper online) so was hoping someone on here may be able to help. Cheers guys.
The process is very straight forward for replacing the fronts - I used the guide on here for reference.
Pieces of advise though:
1) buy some adapter pods - £10 online (CT25VW01)
2) buy some VW speaker adapters - (VW Volkswagen Speaker Adaptor Lead PC2-807)
The adapter pods and wires will mean you wont need to butcher the existing speakers or the connection terminals.
Good quality speakers needn't cost the Earth either - I bought a set of INFINITY 6532i off the 'bay - £42 delivered. The difference between the original and these (once run in) is night and day!
