I have ordered a Move Up with bog-standard 14" wheels, but have an opportunity to buy a set of brand new genuine VW 16" wheels from a High Up for a good price.

My only concern is the ride comfort: I don't like low profile tyres/sports suspension options, but the 16" wheels apparently have 185/50s on them, so it shouldn't be too bad.

Opinions?

Go for it ! You can try them and if you don't like them can always sell on here! We are running 17's and ride is quite firm but I would say 16's will be fine

Ride comfort is good on the 16's with standard suspension, not had any jarring or rattles.

Depends on your tolerances I guess. I didn't mind ours with 195/40/17s with the coilovers wound right down. It wasn't as good as OEM but wasn't unbearable but my wife didn't like it so its back on the OEM 15s.
