I have a squeal on a cold damp morning, or when driving through a deep puddle. Lasts about 10 seconds. I assume this is a slipping fan belt ? Any other possibilities?
A chemist once told me that water is one of the best lubricants you can get but because of its low boiling point, it is impractical to use as a lubricant in most situations hence oil is used. The only use of water as a lubricant that comes to mind is the slides at water parks. Anyway, i think this explains your fanbelt squeal.
My brakes are a bit squeaky on a damp day or after being washed!
I take is easy for a while and i get some heat into the brakes.
