Hi.

Is there a guide for adding tweeter to the take up! ?

Didn´t find any guide/pictures of it in the other thread.

Will I need to re-wire cables?

You will have to run wiring, but it depends on whether you want to run them from the original head unit, upgrade to a new HU, or wether you want to run them from an external amp.
Any thoughts? Also, where are you putting them?

To fit the OEM tweeters you will need new A pillar trim and run the wires into the door to connect with the woofer I believe. Far easier just to add some aftermarket two way speakers which does make a big difference to the sound instead of the quite poor IMO full range OEM front speakers. Couple of threads on this subject in this section. Not the easiest job especially removing the door cards!

Thinking of fitting a set up aftermarket Pioneer:http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/index.php/index.html/_/reviews/speakers/pioneer-ts-a171ci-component-speakers-review-r944 - they should be plug´n´play to VW wiring and the crossovers are built into them already.

Was thinking of buying the move up! a-pillars and mount the tweeters in these and naturally have the midtones replacing the factory coax speakers.

At first I would have the run off the factory HU as I will eventually add the Navigon maps´n´more.

If I should feel a lack of power, later on I will ad the Helix PP range:http://www.audiotec-fischer.com/index.php?id=467&L=1

Doors and luggage compartment will be fitted with Dynamat
