I am bit confused, I have a Move Up which should ordinarily cost £20 per year to tax, just clocked my tax disc and where itshows amount paid it says Nil, so does anyone know why?
I am wondering if it is just something that pertains to new cars??

The 1st year tax rate is nil after that I think it's going to be £20 unless you have the bmt and its free (I think that's right)

That is correct.

The first years road tax is now showroom tax and differs from what you will pay following years. This is to try to get people to buy more efficient cars so if you was buying a gas guzzler for example first year tax would over £1000 them 400 ish the following years.

So as the up is low emission it is free for first year then 20 there after until government put up road tax again
