I know this has probably been brought up before, but everyone on here is so helpful I thought this would be easier!

So it's usually just me in my car and obviously the car has a big difference in the tyre pressure for different situations, but I checked my tyres and the garage had left them all at complete random, so should I just put all my tyres to the minimal pressure stated on the fuel cap? I ponder about it as there is a big difference between the front and back tyres ?!

I stick to the recommendations on the filler flap. VW spent a lot of time and trouble to come up with those figures to make sure that this offered the best compromise for tyre wear, comfort, fuel consumption, and safety.

The garage may have done the pressures when the tyres were at different temperatures. Check them cold. It's the best way to do it at circa 20 C.
