Dunno what VW are thinking (drinking) when they decide on the wheel sizing for the up! and its derivatives though .
Must be something really stiff

I don't see the point of that triple turbocharged engine.
I'd much prefer a normally aspirated bored out 1.2 triple producing 85 to 90bhp to a 110bhp turbo in either the UP GT or Taigun. 1.2 triple would be 15 to 20kg lighter than a turbo'd 1 litre and cheaper to produce while still coming in under 110g/km benefitting from linear power delivery too with more reliability from fewer component parts and less wear on the clutch.
VW must have some serious capacity shortage problems at the moment if they can't get that car or the UP GT to market sooner than they have planned.
There is obviously a huge market for both cars and they can't capitalise on it.
I could even see a 3 door version reminiscent of a 3 door evoque adding 10 to 20 thousand units to production volumes per year.
