Hi,

I've bought some BBS RA's for my Up! from a Golf Mk2 & I'm wondering what wheel nuts I will need for fitting them? I have steel wheels as standard so I'm guessing I need to use new ones. Should I get some Golf Mk2 wheel nuts for alloy wheels, or Up! wheel nuts for alloy wheels? Any help/advice appreciated!

You need to figure out which type of seat the wheel bolt holes on the RRS RAs have, taper (cone) or radius.

Also, take one of your stock up! wheel bolts, place it through the wheel bolt hole on the BBS wheel, and see how many turns of thread protrude through, ie. how many turns would screw into the hub. You need at least 7 turns (roughly 10mm) of thread for a 'safe' installation. If your standard wheel bolts don't have those 7 turns, measure the bolt length (as the above pic) and calculate how long the bolts need to be.

Then you can buy the right seat bolts in the right length.
