Has anyone fitted to the rear centre console a usb charger socket, for use of a tablet (watching movies on long journeys)
Any suggestions on how to do it

Hi, I did not want wires trailing across my gear stick and hand brake, I was hoping to have it fitted to the rear of the cup holder behind hand brake but if all I'm going to get is arsey replys then it doesn't matter

Have a look at http://incartec.co.uk/pages/Product.aspx?P=3089  You can take the power from original socket
Many thanks, but I don't know how to remove the 12v socket, so I can feed from power lead, I have removed removed gear stick cover but can't see how it is attached,
any ideas? Edited by: spud

You have one in the front, and I'm sure they sell these little wires that would reach ALL THE WAY from the front of the car to the rear seat.
The original question is about the usb socket which can be seen on page 5 in this catalogue: http://www.skoda.lv/files/accessories/citigo.pdf

Ah, I thought one of the sister cars had something like this, I was just unable to find it so thought I had imagined it.

I will give skoda a ring and see if I can get one

My arsey reply was in response to yours to another member.

Besides, you could tuck the wire underneath the centre console so the only visible ends were by the cigarette lighter, and exiting the centre console at the rear, thereby not going anywhere near your gear lever or handbrake.

I just asked my VW dealer about it too, that part never made it into production, and is now discontinued
