I've had a good 25-30 cars. I've pretty much always had VWs, had a Volvo and an Astra in there somewhere but these are probably some of my favorites.

VR6 is on the left and my old 1.6 is on the right. Still have the VR6.

Derby GLS, 17,500 miles on the clock. Still have this as well.

1.0L Polo. Paid £50 for the car and spend maybe another £50 on it but it was a cool car. Now dead :(

2.0L 16V Vento.

TDI Golf used when I bought my flat to take all the trampy students crap to the tip who lived her before us.

Polo 04 reg (second favourite car sadly got written off) replaced with a 55reg polo, nice but wasnt as nice as the 1st started to cost to much im the service department so upgraded to a goldfmk5 dsg cracking car but again servicing and running cost started to get quite high so replaced with my lil up! Which the whole monthly running cost is cheaper than the fuel I put in my golf a month! And thats the only cars I've had all vws haha

Ps the up! Is my favourite ride!!Edited by: Itzben

I've created this Mk1 Jetta...

Then bought a Mk2 Golf 1.8 GTi for an engine swap, which lost it's cambelt on the way home from the seller.

I also had a Mars Red Mk2 Breadvan Polo.

If we're counting VAG cars, I also put together this 4.2 Audi A8 Quattro.

Plus I owned a B2 Audi 80 Sport in white, and a B3 Audi 80 1.9 Tdi, which was probably the worst car I ever owned!

H reg Polo GT coupe (and quite possibly my fondest)
P reg Polo 1.6 GLX
51 reg Lupo 1.4 TDI
H reg Polo 1.3 Saloon
K reg Polo 1.3 coupe
J reg Golf GTI
H reg Golf GTI
Y reg Arosa 1.4 TDI

Indian Red:

I've had loads of Polos. Mostly mk3s. Loads of different colours, specs and engines.

I'm guessing the 4.2 Audi A8 was a V8 one?

I've had 25 odd cars from crap to pretty good but this is my first VW. My wife had a Fox prior to her Take Up but that's it for the Smith family. My son however is in the process of buying a 2003. Golf GTi if that helps.

The first car I bought (in 1975) was a Meyer's Manx dune buggy based on a shortened 1966 VW Beetle.

My first car was a new Mini in 1960. I loved that car as it was also my first. In those days you didn't get a car when you were seventeen because they were well out of reach. also being in the forces meant my pay wasn't good enough. Only officers had cars in the fifties and not many of them. However after having the mini for about three years and being given a posting abroad I had to sell it. On my return after experiencing numerous american types of cars in Singapore etc. I decided to but a VW Golf which I was also very pleased with. Then after experiencing numerous other types of vehicle over the years I bought a VW K70 which I loved and had for a good few years. There didn't seem to be many of them about in fact I don't think I ever saw another one. No one on here has mentioned one either.

anyway I am now the proud owner of a very frugal VW Up! White and love it to bits. Heated seats in winter, air con in summer, cruise control, sat nav and all sorts of other gadgets. What more could an old geezer like me want?
