I've rocking a move UP with the standard 14" steel wheels ( currently wearing winter rubber ) and would like to fit some alloys rather than going back to the 14" steel wheels when I change from winter to summer.

My question is given the massive range of wheels available what are people putting on there UPs ?

I guess I'd like to go to 17" as I love the look of bigger wheels but I'm unsure what size wheels and tyres that would mean I'd have to get.

Any help or advice or pictures would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

There are 3 on the accessory book but only 16inch

Triangle

Classic

Upsilon

I like the Upsilon but think 17 would fill out just a little better

Anyone have any 17" wheels ?

Dave, what do you mean 15X8 ? Oh and that cough sounds nasty LOL

LOL, I prefer bigger wheels. I'm not a fan of the low and slow brigade

Is that what you have on Dave ?

Looks like we are in the same boat Ian as I'm also rocking winter tyres on the 14's.

Those wheels looks really nice, are they 17's ?

Do we have a specific list of sizes and offsets to pick from ?

I don't know much about after market wheels so won't want to make a mistake buying wheels

I haven't yet changed my wheels, I'm still on steels at the moment.
I intend to go small and wide though, low and slow indeed :-D

I have both 17" and 16" wheels for my Up! and honestly I can't really tell any difference.. Car is lowered 35mm w. H&R Springs..

BBS replicas 17x7.5" ET42 (I used 5mmspacers rear for aofset of 37 to get a wider look),wrapped in 195/40/17 Hankook tyres..

Borbet 16x7" ET38 Borbet LV4 w. 195/45/16 Continental winter tyres..

The car definitly rides much more stiff than stock when it's lowered, but I can't really tell a difference between the 16" and 17" wheels.. I'm sure you will notice if you swith from the original wheels.I put the wheels on when the car was lowered so I don't have pics of the car before that.

The winter set up looks pretty tight, 16s and a 35 drop actually looks pretty good. I like the darker colour against the white too :)
