Change broken fuel flap?

My (otherwise) wonderful daughter managed to cheerfully run right into the round, plastic flap at the fuel cap. So it broke.

Not a very convincing construction. Plastic, not metal, and a very small surface to glue (=pointless to even try). So I'll try to get a new/replacement flap. But how do I dismantle the whole thing? Is it done from the "inside" or is there any way to lift it out?

(Sorry for my somewhat unprecise english.)

couldnt tell you unfortunately.... i have noticed how bad they appear though. i would assume that its gonna be from the underside of the car or interior, when you look at the underneath you can see the fuel pipe coming down then into the tank so i would try that.

Sorry not replaced flap myself, but I understand the way to fit a new flap is to remove petrol cap, then remove rubbery grommet surrounding the tank neck ,disconnect overflow tube then the whole assembly will lift out, then the new flap can be fitted ,then as Haynes would say reassemble in reverse order. As I say this is my understanding of the task but I may be wrong.Hope this helps.
