I have just bought the car and I am trying to find out what the socket on the dash can be used for. (Carplay ?) I'm hoping for a phone as the standard radio is aweful.

It was for a screen gadget which should have been passed on with the car.
It was not however, very good, and most people upgrade to a screen that has CarPlay or Android Auto included.
