I recently bought a used VW and I’m trying to piece together its service history. The car is in great shape, but I’d feel more confident if I could see what’s been done and when.
I’ve got the VIN, but I’m not sure the best way to go about getting the official service records. I tried calling a local dealer, but they weren’t very helpful—just said they can only see what was done at their location.
Has anyone had luck getting the full VW service history just using the VIN? Is there a central VW database or should I be contacting VW directly?
